This clinic will cover building climbing anchors in different scenarios including tree anchor systems with static rope, ice screw anchors, and v-threads. This clinic is designed for the climber wanting to set up and manage top rope systems here in the midwest and beyond.

- Anchor fundamentals
- Constructing anchors using ice screws
- Constructing anchors using trees and other natural protection
Qualifications: Due to the nature of this class you need a certain knowledge base prior to this type of clinic.
1. Familiar with basic climbing techniques including belaying and basic knots
Gear: You will need your own gear in order to participate in the class (equipment can be rented from us) . Plan to be outside the majority of the time
1. Helmet- (can be rented)
2. Harness
3. One 7-8mm cordelette ~15 feet. (ie anchor building cordellette)
4. Two 48 inch nylon runner/sling
5. Two locking carabiners
6. Two non-locking carabiners
7. Two quickdraws
8. ATC belay device
9. Webbing (optional)
